Booking a room at North Bank

North Bank, the Victorian villa adjoining Muswell Hill Methodist Church, was extensively refurbished three years ago, with the improvements including the upgrading of the kitchen and the installation of a lift to all floors.

Various church and community groups use North Bank for their activities and we also have rooms to let either on a one-off basis, or as a regular booking for up to 12 months. The building has rooms of various sizes on three floors, all of which are accessible to all via a lift. These are suitable for a wide range of events from training sessions and seminars to quiet days and children's parties. Many of the rooms look out on the beautiful grounds of the North Bank Estate - see below for more information about the rooms available.

Please download our leaflet giving more information about our rooms and letting policy. All room bookings will be made according to the terms of a Methodist Church licence agreement. You should note that this agreement does not permit the sale or consumption of alcohol on the premises, nor are we permitted by Methodist Standing Orders to let to groups wishing to hold non-Christian acts of worship.

Children's Parties

The Garden Room is a very popular venue for children's parties, and dates tend to get booked up very quickly. Please note that because of the Family Contact Centre we do not accept bookings for children's parties before 1.30pm on a Saturday. We also do not take bookings for parties at any time on a Sunday.   • All rooms have chairs and tables, and all are carpeted with the exception of the Garden Room, which has a wooden floor.
  • The Garden Room and Oak Room benefit from an audio loop system.
  • There is a fully equipped kitchen with crockery for up to 80 people. If you wish to use the full facilities of the kitchen, it must be booked for a per session charge. However, if you only need to make drinks, this can usually be arranged and will not normally incur an extra charge.
  • Use of the grounds must be requested at the time of booking and is subject to negotiation.
