We enjoy a rich and varied pattern of worship. We use hymns, songs and liturgies
from diverse traditions to create a relaxed, intimate and sensitive space for worship. Services are led by our minister, other ministers in the
Methodist New River Circuit and by local lay people. We encourage participation in worship through readings, songs and prayers.
Please download the
Circuit Plan, which gives details of all our
upcoming services in our church, and those in the rest of our Methodist New River Circuit.
Morning Service at 10.30am
This is our main Sunday service. Each month, generally a Communion service is held on the first Sunday and All Age Worship on the second, although this does sometimes vary. There is
opportunity afterwards to meet up with others over a cup of coffee. Young Church meets at the same time, apart from All Age services when we all worship together,
and there is also a creche for babies and children under three.
Baptism Services
We also regularly hold infant baptism ceremonies, usually during morning worship. Please download our
leaflet on baptism if you would like to find out more about what this means for you and your child.
Evening Prayer at 6pm
This half-hour service is quiet and contemplative, sometimes with music, and is usually based on the Order for
Evening Prayer in the Methodist Worship Book. Typically, there is a reflection on a scripture passage and a time for sharing.
Once every quarter, there is a healing service at this time, including meditation, prayer,
communion and the laying-on of hands.
